She goes to daycare where she plays like a maniac and socializes out the wazoo, so that's covered. And DH and I both work full time, so I want to spend the time I do have with her as a family, you know? I haven't really looked into it, but I live in the land of spring training, so I assume it won't be 1) hard to find a team or 2) long before LO starts asking to play. Well, actually he has done the latter already...and I have studiously avoided the practice fields during tee-ball/softball games ever since! ;) I'd rather have him go straight to softball anyhow. We do pitching/batting practice with him and have taught him a lot of swimming basics ourselves. I'll probably start formal swimming lessons sometime this year (he's 3). Every child is different. I took a break and now she enjoys the lessons she takes as a Kindergartner.
