@sea_bass: have you tried just using the ergo pillow insert that comes with the newborn insert? You can sit LO's bottom on that and prop their legs on the waistband so the knees are up.

we stopped using the moby around 15 wks/13lbs; I found the ergo to be more comfortable at that point.

@sea_bass: I have a big baby, too but I used it well into 8ish months. The key is that you have to tie it tighter than you think you need to in order to account for the stretch of the material. Tie it really tight and then fit your baby into it :) Even if it seems too tight, it's probably not.

@sea_bass: you can roll up a blanket in the bottom of the ergo to prop baby up more, just make sure their legs are in the right position :)

I liked the moby until around three months and then we switched to the ergo on my chest. Around six months I switched to the ergo on my back (which is my favorite way to wear a baby!).

I still wear LO who is 5 months and it works great for us. I would guess the moby isn't tied tight enough if it's sagging and you don't feel like it's supporting the baby enough. Have you tried watching youtube videos of tying it? That's how I taught myself to do it.

L is 8 months and I just put her back in the moby after not using it for a while. It wasn't too bad it definitely gets stretched out but it wasn't too big a problem for us. For long distances I prefer the ergo. She's very big for her age and it didn't feel great to be carrying 21+ lbs around that way.
We stopped using the infant insert with the ergo at eight weeks when she outgrew it. Can you just use the pillow to prop him up more but skip the comforter part?

I have an ergo too, but he hates the newborn insert and so his head sinks too low in it... Sigh!!

C is only 7 weeks but my plan is to use the moby for another month, maybe, than switch to our beco Gemini. I feel like the moby is best for the early days when she wants to be super snuggled in. I know other people who have used it later but I think the SSC will be more comfortable for me.

I've a three month old who is quite large. I tried him in it yesterday and it seemed dangerously stretch/saggy. Have I missed the window- or will I still get use from it? Or am I just using it wrong?
