I think around 8 or 9 months she got her dolly and loves it. It kinda helps her sleep but only kinda and sometimes. If she's upset and I had her her dolly she pats her dolly on the back like she's trying to calm it but she still cries.

Not until we sleep trained did my son take a lovey so 6.5 months. He usually leaves it in the crib but some days he just has to take it out and carry it around. When my son was younger he could grip blankets and cloth well so I had my mom make a fisher price security bunny based on the one I had growing up but he never took to it.

Lo is 10 months. I've tried with a lovey but she isn't into it. She pushes it away so she can get to her thumb.

I always joke that I'm Lala's lovey. She hasn't gotten attached to anything except sleeping on my arm.

LO is 3 months old, and whenever he is in his swing or carseat I put an Aden & Anais blanket on him and he is always clutching it and pulling it up to his face. I've started holding it while I nurse him so that he can associate it with comfort. He hasn't seemed to quite get it yet, he seems to like holding onto things regardless, but the blanket himself doesn't seem to soothe him yet.

What age did your LO start using a lovey? Did it calm them?
