i think we stopped around 1.5mos. LO kept sticking his arms out. plus it was too hot during summer last year to be swaddled.

LO is 5 months tomorrow. We stopped swaddling for nights 3.5 weeks ago and last week for naps. I was super worried at first but the transition went better than expected!

we stopped swaddling when she learned how to roll over both ways (i think around 4-5 months). we went cold turkey, but let her sleep on her tummy so the transition was pretty easy for us.

8 months, maybe even 9 or so....she wasnt really swaddled anymore but just wrapping the muslin blanket was a trigger for her body to relax. her little arms were out but she just loved being wrapped in the blanket.

DS is 5 mos (I know our LO's are the same age) and still wholly dependent on the swaddle!! I tried last week to lay him down without it and it was a no-go.

He just rolled over for the first time this weekend - but has only done it once. So I want to wean him this month before it becomes a safety hazard.

I stopped swaddling when we got home from the hospital. LO liked sleeping with her arms up over her head.

DD stopped being swaddled around 4 months; DS is 4 months right now and he still needs it. I'd really like to swaddle wean him because he keeps breaking out and waking himself up at night, but he loves the swaddle sooooooooo much... Idk, maybe I'll try again next month?

My LO is 5 mos and he still needs to be swaddled to stay asleep. I was wondering when folks no longer needed to swaddle their LO.
