I didn't believe them that she would do it and I was very resistant! I was really worried about how it would go but it was fine, he adapted no problem. I have worked at places that had 13 month olds all on cots and they do really well. They're very low to the ground and we would just sit beside them and easily be able to either lie beside them with an arm on their back to rub their back or sit there and pat their back to sleep which wasn't really possible with them In a crib. I know they had to sit with him and rub his back the first few times, but he got the hang of it quickly. He was never a good crib napper but similar to others I think the consistency with all kids napping helped him. The transition to one nap was forced and that was a big concern for me, we are now past it and he is napping so well on the cot.
