He is only about 24 lbs, but all the reviews said it worked well on kids that small. So my son at 2 years and 3 months is not big enough for it (25 pounds!). Which is stinky cause he has to wear life jacket at the water park and so it is an infant one (the only type under 30 pounds). He can't swim in it at all. We were able to get it tight enough on her.
