Hopefully next year he'll start. I hate changing toddlers diapers - it's just so gross to me! I would say if they're not potty trained by 4 there is an issue... and I think that's late. My daughter was fully trained right after her second birthday, and potty training her was SOOO easy! My twin boys were a different story. Started potty training them around 20 months and they didnt actually get it until they were 3 and we still can not figure out what to do about night time. They still wear pull ups/diapers at night because they pee in them ALL THE TIME! They have tried everything to get her to do it, but she keeps saying "i'm the baby of the family, baby's wear diapers." It is so frustrating. I have tried to explain to them that their toys don't move and they'll be there when they get back but it doesn't seem to help sometimes. </p> <p>We were over at DH's parents house to meet a new baby cousin and the boys and a little girl were upstairs playing. One of our cousins went to check on the and he opened the door and asked what they were doing and our youngest said "WE'RE PEEIN' OUR PANTS". So.Embarrassing. </p> <p>It seems to have lessened lately, but it usually happens when there are a lot of people. Really, really! Feels like EVERYBODY else's boys were trained well before 4! And he can go, he knows how, he's poop-trained, but he wets pretty much every pair of pants he wears throughout the day and, ugh, I just wish he'd go. I think he gets busy and doesn't want to quit what he's doing too. Now, if I let him run around nakie butt, he'll pee in the potty pretty much every time, but if he has so much as a pair of undies on, he'll just pee in them. Our boys are 5 &amp; 8 and they BOTH still have accidents. Honestly we cannot figure out what it is and we don't have them often enough (every other weekend) to correct the problem. Part of it is that they don't want to stop playing and then it's too late. </p> <p>Personally, I think by 4 they should be or should be working on it. It's so hard though and every kid is different.
