I bathed with my bro a couple of times when we were 8 and 1. I was too old for that crap! At the time it seemed just fine.

Co or coed bathing seems appropriate for as long as the kid (s) need help/supervision during bathtime.

I think 5 or so is around the age I would want them to start having a bit more privacy with that stuff.

I don't remember when we stopped so probably about 6 is my guess. I feel like your son could bathe himself but would probably still make a mess so that would make me hesitant. And your 3 year old needs help, so I would wait a bit until he is able to do it solo without big messes. Mine will be 2 years apart, too!

Mine are 3 years apart. I feel like separate baths will happen naturally as the older one learns to shower by himself or wants more independence or privacy in the bathroom. I think he will probably let us know when he's ready. As for the difference between boy and girl parts, DS noticed from birth that DD didn't have the same parts. I don't think this fact is something that needs to be hidden, I mean, I still walk around naked in front of him.

My brother is 15 months older than me, and I think we probably stopped when I was around 4 or 5? That's my best guess, it was a long time ago! Lol

Been wondering this too since N is 4 and J is 2! I'm thinking maybe when she's 5 and J's 3.

I am wondering too! My son is 4 and my daughter is 1.5 and they take baths together. One day, he pointed out that her part is different from his, so I was sort of wondering this myself. I would say I'd probably stop when he's around 5-6??

We stopped bathing them together right after B turned 5 and E turned 2. It's so much easier to bathe them together but I just felt like they needed their own separate space and privacy.

Curious about this too. My kids are the same age and they still currently bathe together.

I don't remember my little sister and brother (similar age gap as yours, but other way around) ever bathing together. But my family is SO conservative. I've seen pictures of my cousins (who are my age) all bathing together, and they were at least 6 or 7 (the oldest was).

Charlie is 5 and Olive is 3. We still bathe them together most of the time. Some days it's easier just to do it separately since Olive gets home from school much earlier and sometimes she doesn't nap and needs an early bedtime.

I remember bathing with my brother until I was maybe 6 and he was 5. But nudity tends not to be as taboo in Korean culture since back then public bath tubs were the norm (as are Korean bathhouses/saunas to this day).

When would you stop? Did you bathe with your opposite gender sibling?
