It was probably 8/9 months when he got into them, but not until 11 months when he would start whining when I put the book back on the shelf when we were doing reading.

Just about right now at 8 months. He will sit and turn to the side table where his books are and help us flip the pages. He's even started to protest when we put them away and get him ready to put him in his crib. Makes us glad we started so early with the reading and stuck with it even though he would protest initially!

My LO has always loved books too. We started consistently reading to her when she was 4-5 months old, and she would laugh at the same parts every time! At 12 months, she loves books more than ever! Where is Baby's Belly Button is also a current favorite!

They've always stayed pretty engaged when we read to them, but now at 10 months, they have started to go get books themselves and like to turn the pages and trace the pictures, even when they're half asleep :)

Only recently, maybe around 18 mo. But he is very demanding about his books now and will get upset if I don't read to him when he asks!

Right now at a little over 9 months, he knows where the books are and looks for them. It's becoming part of his morning wake up routine to look over the glider at them. We've been consistently reading to him since was 4-6 months with a bedtime routine.

We are at 8 months and she is too busy to really want to sit on our lap and read, so I read them when she's in her crib before bed. She will stare at the pictures, but otherwise she's not there yet! I really hope she loves books though, as I'm an avid reader!

At 6 months he started reaching out to books. Now that he's 10 months, he actually gets excited when we read to him.

LO has always loved books. But I think maybe around the 12 month mark she would clap after we finished reading a book, and she would bring certain books over to us to read.

I would say around 10/11 months she started wanting her favorites. But now at 13 months she brings the book over and puts it in my lap and whines until I read it.

Her favorites are this Curious George abacus counting book and Where is Baby's Belly Button? She destroys her flap books. Haha.

He's 8 months and he likes books. In the past month he's developed favorites. He'll look for them when we're reading and close other books to look for them (In My Tree is his absolute favorite). I think it's so cute!

I think it was about 12 months when LO really started LOVING books. She will grab her favorite book and crawl into my lap and "ask" me to read it. I think on a given day I read "I Love Summer" or "Where is baby's belly button" at least a dozen times! She loves flap books. :)

When did your LO start asking you to read to them and what is their favorite book?
