DD currently still co-sleeps with us, so I don't know how she will do when we move her to her own room... So far, probably the newborn days! And those random nights where she would wake up and not go back to sleep at all!

Months 0-6 months really since she never sleep well as a newborn, but the absolute worst of that was 3.5 to 5.5 months (4 month sleep regression) where she was waking at least 8x per night and couldn't sleep more than 1.5 hrs at a stretch and would sometimes take up to 2 hrs to go back to sleep. DH and I were zombies who hated life. We sleep trained at 5.5 months and she got down to waking 2-3x per night which felt like a luxury.

4-month sleep regression for sure. It happened to be over Christmas when DH, DS, and I were all sleeping in one tiny room at my in-laws house. It was a nightmare to say the least, and we sleep trained as soon as we got home!!

Well E didn't STTN consistently until she was 3...... But the biggest challenge, I think, was bedtime from 1yr to almost 2yrs because she would scream for two hours every night.

S is in her most challenging time (so far) right now - she is up several times a night. She's 6.5 months. Her naps are shit, too. Awful.

For us it was either the newborn stage when he woke up more than 2 times a night (2 times is my limit, I get really cranky if he gets up 3 or more times a night), and also roughly between 1-2 years old, with a peak at 1-1.5 years old when we first took off one side of the crib. That was nightmare! He didn't even understand how and why do you have to stay in bed. He dragged EVERYTHING into his bed so his bed would be filled with toys and there is nowhere for him to sleep. Then he would roll off the bed and cried in the middle of the night. Then he would want to sleep on the ground or the couch instead. It took a while for him to understand how this "sleeping with the freedom to get out" works.

3-4 years old bedtime shenanigans for us. After a year, you would have thought that he would just stay in bed and go to sleep after being tucked in, nope, nope, nope.

The baby bedtime stuff with both kids has been good since sleep training. Transitioning from crib to bed has been a lot harder.

The 4 month sleep regression was so bad with Charlie but then we sleep trained so it didn't last long. I breastfed Olive until she was 26 months so sleep was pretty easy up until that point!

With both kids it was just after after 2 when we transitioned them out of the crib. Pretty much for a year plus there were bedtime shenanigans and fighting bedtime with both kids.

What was the hardest stage sleep-wise for you?
