Got a cheapie Nuby Straw Cup ($5 for 2) to see if she would go for it and it took her a day to learn how to use it. He didn't really get the hang of it until 15 months. At 11 months he still doesn't get it. My little guy never held his own bottle or anything so I was worried that he wouldn't get the concept of tipping back a sippy cup. We started with a cheapie Playtex straw cup that you can give a light squeeze and the liquid goes up through the straw while they are learning. We just splurged on the Zoli and IT. IS. AMAZING. He can suck on it, but he doesn't tip it back, and he won't even try. I've laid him on the boppy to see if that helps, but he doesn't want to lay down and drink. So during our meals we always have to hold the sippy ourselves... is he late on developing this skill? How old was your LO? </p>
