I know that at least once, she is genuinely hungry, because she is draining me. The other time, it's hit or miss. Sometimes, she'll snack for a while and pass out, but other times, she really does want to eat. Both LOs were EBF, and I let them take the lead. LO1 dropped night feeds and started STTN between 6-8 weeks. LO2 did not consistently drop night feeds and STTN until closer to 6 months. I have heard similar to Jetsa that many breastfed babies end up needing that night feed longer due to breastmilk's quick digestion.
