@tiramisu: @gingerbebe: Thanks to you both. It's so hard to see them so sick! She had some banana and a piece of toast today. Fingers crossed it stays down all night...

When my son had gastro virus in January at 15 months
- sounds really similar. FWIW the ped said they could be wonky for up to 10 days in terms of vomit and poops, so you are still in the window.

My son showed marked improvement after a day on white Gatorade (I think it's called like Glacier Cherry Frost - he wouldn't take milk, coconut water, and even stopped drinking water and this stuff doesn't have all the dyes at least). His appetite was just gone so we also let him eat whatever he wanted (McDonald's fries and mini marshmallows and arrowroot baby cookies) while feeding him bites of white rice porridge and baby food (the kind with rice and bananas in it) and again, much better improvement. I think just having stuff in your gut plus electrolytes help a ton.

Poor thing, hope she feels better soon. I think it's a good idea too that you're taking her to the doctors tomorrow. In the meantime I'd probably keep pushing liquids and maybe bananas, rice and applesauce if she's feeling up to it.

@2littlepumpkins: Thanks. We've got an appointment tomorrow morning. Last time (similar situation, the 1x/night vomiting lasted 9 days), I brought her in twice and was just told "viral gastro" both times.

I think you need to ask a doctor about this. Sorry, it sounds rough!

Also, it's been four nights so far right? I mean it's possible that it's still just running its course, but at this point I would want to ask a doctor.

LO (15 months) has had a stomach bug since Wednesday. She's mostly better, but every morning, when we get her up, we find that she's vomited at some point during the night. It doesn't seem to bother her and it doesn't even set the monitor off. This happened with the last tummy bug she got, too.

Here are the details:
Wednesday night she vomited about 15 times overnight. It was awful.

Thursday, she was mostly better (no vomiting after 4am; really nasty diarrhea). We limited her to liquids (water and breastmilk; she won't take pedialyte).

Same on Friday. Vomited once when we gave her too much BM in short order.

Yesterday, we gave her some applesauce and the liquids. Fine, but had a tiny amount of vomit about 30 mins after her last bit of applesauce.

Vomit in bed (very small amounts) every morning at wake up.

What am I doing wrong? Should I be pushing more solids? Is the overnight vomit because she's hungry? Keep on doing what I'm doing?

Help!!
