You put the batter (and later the frosting) in a big ziploc bag, like a gallon bag, cut the tip of the corner off and make the whoopie pies by basically piping them onto the cookie sheet in circles. Once they're cool you make the frosting and do the same thing with that. Start with a small cut and if it's not coming out fast enough then cut it a little more, because you can always go bigger, but if you cut too big a hole you'll have to start over with a new ziploc. Also, they get a little bigger as they bake, so make them a little smaller than you think you want them.
