Any Thanksgiving dinner tradition in your family?</p> <p>In my Chinese culture we don't have Thanksgiving tradition, we also not big into 'must' eat Turkey for Thanksgiving.<br /> My husband he not a fan of turkey, so it will be Honey Ham for us. I baked Honey Ham on Thanksgiving, and I bring it to my MIL too.</p> <p>My husband have to work on Thanksgiving Day, so I be waiting for him back so we can eat late dinner together. Any ladies here have DH that work on Thanksgiving? It suck isn't it?<br /> He working alot right now due to alot of work loads holiday. Your expected to work every day that your schedule, including holidays. But will be paid extra, at double time and a half, so it not that bad considering the pay.<br /> Right now we don't have any kids yet, so this is the better time for him work holidays to make the extra pay, and save up more money as much as we can.</p> <p>My favorite dish on Thanksgiving have to be stuffing. My husband make the best, the best stuffing. Since we eat Ham, he always make his stuffing separately in a separate dish.<br /> He said he will make the stuffing the night before for me, because he has to work on Thanksgiving Day.<br /> He make it really good, it taste very very good. I try to learn it from him.. Drop it off at noon, run back home shower/change and head to my parents where my mom cooks Thanksgiving for our family. We eat around normal dinner time, home around 9pm. When D was a teenager someone tried to suggest they hold it elsewhere and he apparently threw the biggest fit about it :silly: I love going there, too, and wouldn't want to go anywhere else. We're debating goint to the National Zoo on the weekend, if the weather is nice. </p> <p>My sisters-in-law are actually also first cousins, and every other year they switch off holidays with their family, so this year they'll be down for Thanksgiving (but not for Christmas). I'm super excited! We have an invite to my brother's girlfriend's parent's house about 2 hours away. Mr. Lime is still holding out on MIL to say she's cooking, but that's a 4 hour drive and we have a doctor's appointment the next day at 9 am. The restaurant is technically a back up, but I'm hoping that's what we end up doing. </p>
