Things I've been appreciating with my 2nd:

- New/additional towels and wash cloths
- New swaddles (our swaddleme's got pretty stretched out and the velcro's going)
- New bandana bibs (these weren't a thing 3 years ago)
- More burp cloths - can't have enough IMO

I don't think we're having a shower for #2 but I made a registry to get a completion discount and a gift card :silly: Things we need/want include:

new (second) mattress, mattress cover, and sheets;

a couple new changing pad covers since some of ours were stained from diaper cream (butt paste does not come out in the wash!)

new burp/swaddling cloths because lo1 has stolen them all as doll/stuffie blankets

a double stroller

a new monitor (our old one broke)

bassinet (we didn't have room in our old apt for lo1 to sleep in our room so we didn't have one)

piggyback board for our current stroller

a few more blankets and lovies since lo1 has claimed some of the ones we have and sharing seems problematic

a keekaroo so that we have a changing station in our room as well as the room lo1 and lo2 will share

new nose frida since ours was so nasty I threw it out

more hats and mittens and booties since it'll be colder than it was when lo2 was born than when lo1 was

relatedly, a warm car seat cover

Haven't had #2 yet either, but I'm thinking:

Monitor with 2 cameras
Sit n stand stroller
Amazing lift the flap and other books (usborne) plus other activities for DD to play with while I'm nursing
New nursery decor
Infant bath stuff

Feeding supplies are often nice if you need new snack cups, bottles etc.

Baby socks seem to go missing!

New burp cloths were nice.

I am good on the babywearing front... I have a K'tan, a Moby, Ergo, Tula and Connecta.... :silly: I did register for a fleece carrier cover!

Towels are a great idea esp I already handed DD1's down so to get them back, DD2 would be the 3rd person using them

Hmm maybe I'd do a 2nd camera... My SIL gave me her motorola camera system but we currently have another set with DD so we'd have 2 monitors out...

Honestly I didn't get anything new except some blankets and sheets. Everything else was fine. But I did use doubles of activity mats and baby chairs since I could keep one upstairs and one downstairs.

We got a Rock & Play for #3 after having borrowed one for #2 and loving it. I also liked getting a new set of swaddle blankets special for each baby. I second a good quality carrier as well.

I used my ring sling a ton with DD2 for the first 3 months...way more than I ever did with DD1 since it was nice to cuddle the baby but have hands free for the older one. Not sure what kind of carriers you tried with DD1, but may want to look into something (solly, ring sling, whatever...).

I got a second camera for the video monitor, some new swaddles, and a handful of new newborn sleepers.

DD1 had gone to daycare full-time, so we didn't have a ton of baby toys. I ended up getting DD2 some more of those crinkly type books, a couple wooden rattles/teethers.

Other than that, not much! Downside to the 2nd (and 3rd...) kids is gifting since I rarely feel like they NEED anything! haha

I haven't had #2 yet but I've mostly completed the list of new stuff I needed for him:
- Bassinet, sheets, etc. (had rock n play for #1 but wanted to try something else this time)
- Carrier (didn't like the ones I had with LO1)
- A&A swaddles since LO1 still uses hers as blankets
- New bottles and pacifiers
- Monitor with 2 cameras

I'm also probably going to get either a double stroller or a ride on board for our stroller.

We didn't have a Rock N' Play for #1, so we got one of those. I agree with a good carrier. I found a wrap carrier was more comfortable for DD in the early days. We also got a few new washclothes and towels, since the old ones had been used so much.

Totally agree with a carrier. I used mine soooo much more with #2.

New towels or washcloths? Anything monogrammed?

A Tula. The Ergo I had with #1 was fine, but it was nice to get a prettier one! What about bedding and a mobile?

My sister is throwing me a shower for #2, and I honestly don't need much besides boring things like diapers and wipes. Trying to think of a few more "interesting" things to put on!
