@matador84: If you go with poms, just remember that they take a while to *fluff* . . . the larger poms take about 20-30 minutes each, and the smaller poms about 10-15 minutes each. I know this because I did 20 for LO's birthday, and I did a few each night for a week or so leading up to the party.

I did this tissue paper garland for my DD birthday - its so easy! We have it hanging in the playroom now

All you do is fold the paper like a fan and then cut almost thru - then twist the top - so simple!

@matador84: the tissue poms themselves are easy to make, but sometimes, they're a bit heavy and need a bit of work to get them to stay on the ceiling!

You could do a ribbon garland, where you tie long lengths of ribbon and let them hang down.

Paper fans are easy and make fun decorations when you make a bunch in various sizes and patterns.

@matador84: From what I've seen they aren't too difficult. Choose a couple colors of tissue paper and vary the sizes for visual interest. The more layers of tissue you use, the fluffier they will be.

ETA: At my work shower they just threw some confetti on the table ;) haha

I went to a work shower once that was decorated mostly with big tissue poms! It looked really good for minimal effort

I need to make or buy some kind of shower decor for a girl I work with who I am hosting a shower for her with several other girls. The theme is kind of hunting/woodsy. I totally wasn't feeling up to doing anything this weekend and Target didn't have anything decorative that I liked. I have seen on the blog/boards some who have made sort of a fabric garland and that might be fun/easy but I can't find it. Any other ideas? I'll have to get something after work tomorrow and make it after DS goes to bed!
