Costco does cookie tins or baked good of some kind every year, so we often send those, since they are well priced and free shipping. Also second the Harry and David baskets. The H&D boxes of pears go over well with the older client set, as they are always looking to keep their health in check. We always get raves for them. Last year we sent some chocolate rugelach from David's Cookies for the Jewish holidays and that went over really well. Generally, if its to an office setting (i.e. multiple people are around) we send edibles that can be shared, like the cookie tins or baskets of brownie bites. If its to a single client, then things like olive oil might be fine.

We give olive oil and it's a hit! We do it every year. We deliver it in conservatively branded wine bags with tissue paper in it.

I think edibles are always best for client gifts. Breakfast items like coffee cake or muffin baskets are great. I would love getting an oil/vinegar set but I would just know your audience on that one. My husband would definitely not be impressed so I wouldn't pick that for any single male clients.

I'm in a group that actually GETS client gifts, which is awesome. Harry & David gift baskets are the best. We also got Godiva chocolates and everyone went nutso for that. DH was sent a ham/bacon/maple syrup type gift set last year.

We also have a local place that does olive oil/vinegar sets, though, and it is one of my favorite things to gift, too! So good.

I need to help DH with sending out holiday gifts for some good customers of his. I'm leaning towards a EVOO & balsamic vinegar set from a local place. That make all their own. I love gifting local items.

What kind of items do you typically gift clients / customers for the holidays?
