Once I left a half eaten nectarine on the nightstand while I went to the bathroom and I came back JUST in time to watch Bambam (the bigger chihuahua in my avatar) take the nectarine - as we chased him around he ended up swallowing the pit. I called the vet and apparently if the pit breaks, it can release cyanide and poison him so we had to take him in at 1:30am and they gave him a shot to make him throw it up. Yep.
