We love MOnster at the End of the Book. Well, I do. I can imagine how fun the app might be! She's indifferent. The Very Hungry Caterpillar has been a winner since month 1. Brown Bear was pretty good but I had to return it because it was a loaner.

Our girl was never been one to sit still for books, but she's always loved Matthew Van Fleet's "Dog," "Cat," and "One Yellow Lion." The one book that she has memorized is "Magritte's Imagination" -- good rhyme structure, and somehow even toddlers seem to recognize quality art. I'm looking forward to when she's older; there are so many slightly older kids' books that *I* can't wait to read!

The older I get, the more I am impressed with Dr. Seuss and his books. They are just so enjoyable to read with your kids! The rhythm of the prose combined with his sheer love of wordplay and fertile imagination make his books into timeless classics. My favorite these days is, "Mr. Brown can moo! Can you?"

I also like, "I Love You Stinky Face," by Lisa McCourt. It's a fun book about unconditional love.

But probably my favorite book to read with Charlie is, "The Monster at the End of this Book." Grover is so awesome. There's even an iPad app for this book which is (believe it or not) even better than the book.

What are some of your favorite books (and book authors) to read with your LO?
