She falls asleep on the couch/living room floor every night, we've tried to break the habit but then she is upset and awake for an hour longer, we just move her after she falls asleep into her bed.

Also, some mornings she wants to stay in PJs so I let her and take clothes to daycare and they change her (they don't have an issue with this.)

mealtimes. if he isn't eating, i don't fight it anymore. seems to have the opposite of the desired effect anyway. still upsets me when he doesn't eat the food i've cooked, but i'll get over it.

@sorrycharlie: same here! That's how I was as a babysitter & a nanny as well. If no one is getting hurt & it isn't dangerous I really don't care what you do lol mostly. I can be borderline crazy about how she eats but I try to keep the insanity in check.

I don't fight much. Some people tell me I let her walk all over me, but it's not the case at all. If it's not hurting anyone or dangerous, I don't care. Then when I do "fight" her she knows I'm serious!

Clothes. D wears what he wants and I don't stress it.

Also, haircuts. I cut DH's hair, but D won't let me do his. I'd rather not pay for it to be done when I can do it for free, so he'll talk my dad or his dad into getting it done when he's with them. It's a battle I've stopped fighting, so he's pretty shaggy right now.

oh, and with M it's naps. I've stopped trying to get him scheduled. He sleeps when he sleeps.

I don't fight a lot of things because I'm just so tired! For example, if she refuses to wake-up in the morning and doesn't have time to eat breakfast (that I've already prepared), then I just let her go to dagis without breakfast (since it'll be snack time soon anyway). Plus, whatever she doesn't eat, I eat

Drinking tea with a spoon. Don't know why B thinks it's a good idea, and it takes forever, but I only put my foot down and tell him to drink like a big boy if we're in a hurry.

L likes to bring a mega block into bed with him. He also slips one in whenever I'm packing the diaper bag. I've given up on the me taking it out/him putting it back in - if having a yellow mega block in the diaper bag and his bed make him that happy, I figure it's not hurting anything. Haha!

LO 1 is a bow holic and she wants to wear one to sleep every night. I fought it for a while but it just caused unnecessary drama and made bedtime a nightmare. She is almost 3 so I am over it....bow it is!

She also picks her own clothes and has some interesting combos. I only override for special occasions!
