1. The teachers really love the kids.
2. The structure and curriculum.
3. They daycare is well run and makes every parent feel special and included.
4. They are open 6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
5. They have Parent Night Outs once a month (we don't use, but it's nice to have available)
6. They try really hard to be accomodating. DS struggles with naps at daycare and they have really tried to work with him on this.
7. LO loves his teachers and is very happy there! (this is most important item)

In no particular order:
Care has been 1:4 or less in both infant and toddler rooms.
All table foods and linens (bibs, blankets, sheets, etc.) are provided.
They were completely open to cloth diapering.
They were completely open to potty training our way and much earlier than they had done before.
The teachers truly care about my son. The relationship he has with his teachers is heart warming.
All of his artwork is scanned in and a photo is emailed to us so we don't have to keep every "gem".
Daily activity sheets are provided for individual children, not one mass sheet.
Lots of outside time, activities, art, reading, songs, and dance.
Zero jumpers, bouncers, swings, etc. in the infant rooms (you know your baby isn't being put in an electronic to soothe them but held in arms).
Infant schedules are per baby, not per class.
English and Spanish speaking teachers so the kids learn plenty of each language.
Several times a year they do projects for extended family members and voluntarily mail them to grandparents and the like no matter where across the globe they reside.

Things I love:

- The teachers and all the staff. Everyone knows us by first name, not just E’s teachers. All the teachers really know the children’s personalities, they really care about each child. It shows.

- The food. The snacks are premade things (like cheese, crackers, yogurt, etc.) but the main dishes are all made in house from scratch. They never serve things like processed chicken nuggets, and try to serve a wide variety of flavors like lasagna, teriyaki baked chicken, soups, etc.

- The building is very secure. There is a locked entryway, and you need an electronic keycard to get into the building. Makes me feel safer.

- They send out an email with pictures every day that lets us know what LO and her little buddies were up to while I was at work. They catch her sly smiles and grins, and getting that e mail is always the highlight of my day.

- They get even the youngest infants participating in projects. They make art a few times a week, read every day, go out on buggy rides when the weather is nice, play outside if it’s nice out. I love all the learning things they do.

The teachers love my son and he loves them.

They are helping him potty train (big deal to us).

They have bought special foods just because of his allergies (specifically Albertson's brand bread which is slightly more expensive).

They let us bring his special milk and follow things we ask (such as no water only juice, milk or special milk).

They are willing to cloth diaper/cloth training pants.

They don't have tv or other screens in the toddler room.

They provide diapers, wipes, and formula/meals! I love this.

There is a fish tank on one of the dividing walls so you can peek into the room when you arrive and see your baby before they know you are there. LO is always being held or tended to anytime I've peeked in.

I've never heard a baby crying! I don't know how they manage to keep everyone happy all at the same time, but they do!

The drop off and pick up is always seamless.

When she had diaper rash, they voluntarily changed her every 30 minutes and applied fresh diaper cream every time.

They are open 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM so we have ample time in the morning to drop her off and ample time in the evening to pick her up. With our long commutes, we need almost that entire window!

She has a big plethora of toys and gear to use while she is there, so we don't have to buy it, store it, or worry about finding a place for it in our home.

They keep kids all the way through elementary school (and take to and from school in the mornings and afternoons if necessary) so we can keep her there for years to come if we wish!

Haha, I was just going to post this one!

1. I love the teachers. They are so caring and loving. They really do love these kids and that is so important to us.
2. They follow your schedule and don't try to push anything on you that you're not comfortable with.
3. They don't try to push your child to do things you're not comfortable with.
4. They don't push you into the next room. They let your child move into the next room when you're comfortable with it.
5. Even though they say it's a 1:4 teacher:student ratio in the infant room, I have never seen it more than 3:1 and normally it is 2:1.

I shared the things I'd like to change about our daycare, now here are some things I love!

- There is a max of 11 kids on any given day. Some days only have 8 kids so the kids get a lot of personal attention.
- The teachers really love and care about the kids. The kids love the teachers! We really like them and trust them.
- They are extremely accommodating in general if we're late, putting Olive down for a nap based on when she woke up in the morning, etc.
- They wash all the bottles/sippy cups and keep them at the school along with milk in the fridge, and wash lunchboxes only if they eat everything so we can see how much they ate.
- They help the kids eat so we can send things like soup. If the kids don't eat much lunch, they let them eat again a little later in the day.
- They give a long nap -- 2 1/2 hours -- compared to other daycares. (Olive takes two naps as long as she wants.)
- They are a block away from where we live!

What are some things you love about your daycare?
