I also wish it wasn't a lot of changes. Plus we're delaying potty training which erks me because LO seems ready and I don't want to miss the window but they said even though there are potties in the 18-24 room since the kids don't use them she won't be successful. My son is in a crowded age group so he doesn't always get a spot in the next room right away. He was 17 months before he got into the 12-18 month room, then had to move up after less than 4 months. But they also would take availability, development, and when their friends moved into account.</p> <p>DD2s now is 0-15m, 15-24m, and then by year. I think DD2s they just like to have them all walking (usually) by the time they move up from infants to young toddler. </p> <p>In the fall they will both be in a Montessori program which is split 16m-3y, and 3-6y. Rough breakdowns are:</p> <p>Infant room: baby - about 14 months<br /> Toddler: 14ish months - just over 2, like 26 months<br /> Preschool 1: 26ish months - 3<br /> Preschool 2: 3-4<br /> Pre-k: 4-5</p> <p>The goal is to spend about a year in each room, give or take. Example: An early potty trained tot may skip the "wet room," which are 18-24 mos olds.
