They don't know how that is affecting the surviving baby, and it's a teeny tiny baby since it's a triplet. Fingers crossed that your SIL baby will not be in the NICU.</p> <p>Our NICU had strict rules, no fingernail polish and make sure you wash your hands. Our NICU had strict rules, parents and grandparents only, but I think it also depends on the babies that are in there. So, siblings can't some in and do night feedings or anything...</p> <p>Maybe ours is super strict though because it is like the highest in the state and it's a big-time children's hospital? Of course every hospital could be different. When DD was there it could only be kids older than 5 unless it was a sibling.
