So on Christmas Eve I am going to attempt my first layer cake. I think I will look for a chocolate cake batter and a vanilla buttercream so I can use more of the “peppermint snow”. Also, use 50-50 flour and cocoa powder to roll them out. Flour will make them look dusty.</p> <p>I copped out and got Betty Crocker icing. My kids loved decorating them. It’s a massive operation but I love it.</p> <p>For us I still have planned: gingerbread for houses, sausage balls and chouquettes for a Christmas Eve app night, and cinnamon buns for Christmas morning. I'm taking a baking break now since I went a little overboard. The only other thing I'm definitely planning is homemade cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning.
