I've seen the musical several times and LOVE it but just couldn't get into the book. I think I got through about 400 pages and was only starting to get into the actual story that is portrayed in the musical. Ugh. </p> <p>I love reading but am STILL working my way through Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six. I've only been reading it for about two months now, sigh. I think because of the title and cover art I figured it would be more commercial? At all. So you can't read it with that expectation. It does have fantastic character development, and there is a complex somewhat interesting plot. But it's a little too much for me.
