I love the baby stage, say 6-12 months when they learn to sit, and crawl, eat and walk. Then i'd say 2.5-3 years old (even though we aren't there yet) because they communicate better and are potty trained. heeh

I think it's hard to choose since I haven't been through that many stages with my own LO, but I have to agree that 4-11 months was a cake walk compared to both the newborn phase, and now that I'm chasing a toddler.

Basing my response on kids I've worked with since LO isn't quite here yet....but...

I actually am least excited for the NB stage.. I know it will be a huge adjustment and I can't wait til we will be able to see more of her personality!

I LOVE 4-6, or 3-6. They are just on the brink of independence, going into school, and growing so much. I think it's amazing!

Least favorite is NB...it's tiring. I miss my tiny baby but we are happier getting sleep and playing.

Also, I'm not loving 3. I love my son so much but hate how defiant he has become...every day is exhausting, trying to get him dressed or to take a nap is impossible, and then Sunday rolls around and getting him to behave in church is a nightmare. I feel like I'm losing control most days. It's slowly (like snail pace) starting to improve and I hope preschool will help him to learn to listen.

12-18 months is my absolute favorite age!

@cvbee: Actually I do! Now that he is 6 months old I have started a few signs. We're focusing on some basic signs right now, everytime he nurses I sign for milk. He thinks it's funny though!!

I also sign please quite a bit. I sign eat when he eats his solids, all done when it's gone and more if I can tell he wants more.

I want to add in a few more, but I feel those are the most important right now. I may be adding in bedtime or sleep time soon so he can communicate if he's tired.

@Coco Bee: I think there are pluses and minuses to every age..... and the pluses always outweigh the minuses!

@Coco Bee: You might be a fan of teaching Cobi sign language. I once babysat an almost-one-year old who knew baby sign language and it was super cool that he could tell me what he needed. I babysat another baby through the 10 month to 14 month stage and she was fine, even though she didn't know the baby sign language. We just really stuck to routines. (What I did not like was that I could not let her out of my sight for one second or she might eat a rock or do something else dangerous).

Big-picture, I like kids 5 and under best. Once they turn 6, they are in my medium-favourite stage. And over ten, forget it!

I honestly didn't like the 0-3m/newborn stage. They're just pooping, squawling little lumps. I'm LOVING 4-5m stage so far, though. She's so much fun now that she's laughing and can interact with me.

I kind of want to skip 2-3years and go straight to 4 though. NOT looking forward to that.

@artbee: I do wonder if I'll change my mind once Cobi hits a year. I was telling DH I'm so nervous for it because I'm afraid I won't like it or enjoy it as much.

I had trouble with the newborn age because lo had reflux. I think if she didn't, I would have felt differently.

For the most part I'm liking her at a year! Its fun to see her do new things, like all of a sudden she'll hear itsy bitsy spider and her fingers start moving like we show her. Every new thing is so exciting!

What are your favorite and least favorite baby/kids ages??

I am loving the baby age, like NB-10ish months... but once they get closer to a year I find it more difficult... I have never cared for one year olds! lol I find that it's such a hard age because communication is really difficult.

Age 4-5 is another favorite stage of mine.
