My soon 4 year old is incredibly independent but still such a snuggle bug, I love that combo!

My 2 year old is finally starting to understand that if she talks to us instead of scream her cute little head off that she is more likely to get what she wants because we then actually know what she wants.

The newborn twins are just cute :silly:

So independent! It is sad though. A love-hate actually. She is full of surprises, just when I thought I had her pegged. Everyday she learns new things and here we are! Getting to know her again at this new stage.

DD just turned 4: She loves helping and taking care of her brother. She has plans and ideas (which creates conflicts also). She draws amazing (to me) pictures. She's really gaining independence and I feel like I get to see more of who she is and who she will be.

DS 1.5ish: He's still squishy and he loves cuddling with me. He's in the middle of a language explosion so he's saying adorable things that only make sense to me and DH. He loves Sesame Street but he calls it "cookies" for Cookie Monster. And he calls Cheerios "juice". It's like he's a living puzzle that needs to be decoded. I'm also finding out more about him like that he LOVES the girls at school but does not like the boys. He sleeps through the night (which DD no longer does).

At 2 she's having a language explosion. It's so fun to watch her learn new words every day.

I consider 5 the last kind of baby year because then they start losing teeth and their baby face/fat is all gone. :crying: So I'm trying to enjoy Olive's 5th year because she still feels like a baby to me in many ways!

Charlie is 7 and can read novels with no pictures for hours at a time. I hope he learns to love reading more and more!

DD1 is 3.5 and I'm loving all the talk and imaginative play and story telling. Today she named one of her toys Chomp Chomp. That wouldn't seem like a big deal to anyone but that's the first time she's ever named anything made up instead of a tv or book character.

DD2 will be 2 next month and I'm loving hearing her new sentences and seeing more of her personality develop. She's quite the prankster, which is even funnier because when you're 2 your pranks aren't very good but it's adorable to see that side of her personality that I know isn't just a result of watching her sister.
