She has been my shining beacon of light. I am thankful for my DH who supports my dreams and has recently been helping more with DD so I have time to work. I am thankful for our solar radiant heating (pretty much pays for itself!), for DH's new job that allows him to be with us for the holidays, and for my dad's friends who have become my best friends since his passing. I am thankful for my little family and all the possibilities ahead of us. It is so refreshing to live near people who are friendly and helpful! </p> <p>I'm also thankful that our pediatrician heard D's heart murmur at 9 months, and that we immediately got in to see a pediatric cardiologist. I'm so thankful that J gets to have her in his life, like I did when I was little. My grandmother passed away when I was 17, I still miss her every day. I don't have any grandparents alive now. When I was small my grandmother and great-aunt were in my daily life and would spoil me, they drove me everywhere, played with me, colored with me, sang with me, took me out to eat and shopping. He's missed plenty while in the army, so every year is a blessing that way. I'm thankful DH never ever uses his words to hurt me or put me down, even when I'm at my worst. I can be unfair and harsh with my words sometimes, and I'm thankful he puts up with that. </p>
