I think quality time and touch. He wants us to play with him alllll the time. And when we sit next to each other, he likes to rest his hand on me at all times :)

Definitely words of affirmation but I think physical touch might be one and we haven't been fabulous about it recently. I'm going to try to step up my game in that area and see if we see improved behavior.

For my oldest.....all of them. She's such a love bug, I can't tell what hers are yet because she seems to "speak" and "receive" in all of them!

As for #2, she's only 17 months so I don't know!

I found Mr. Bee's post about the Love Languages of Children on the blog today pretty interesting. I'm a huge fan of the love languages, and I think Noelle's love languages are words of affirmation and quality time (no surprise there, since those are mine too!). She likes to solicit praise from us, "look mommy! I finished ALL my vegetables! Mommy mommy, come watch me on the diving board!" - things like that. And I can tell she gets sooo happy when she gets affirmed, or she overhears us saying good things about her. Praise leads to more good action from her. She just really wants to please us and make us happy all the time, and she beams with pride when we say good things to her. Then with the quality time, she really likes us to be super close to her, and always asks us to play with her or sit and read with her.

I think it might still be too soon to tell for Jaren, but I think one of his is definitely touch (he is sooo affectionate). He is super independent so he actually doesn't ever mind if we don't play with him and just does his own thing. He does like to throw away his trash, help get stuff for his sister, things like that - so maybe another one of his could be acts of service? I'm still assessing!
