My days are boring lol. I've been trying to get out of the house more but most the day we nurse, sit and nap. I do tummy time in the afternoon and I pass him off to DH in the evenings to get things done. But he's pretty demanding and likes me to hold/nurse him all day long.

Sounds about right for my first. Since this is my second and I'm home most days (I work part time) we mostly revolve around the needs of the toddler and the new guy is along for the ride.

I wear him much of the time just because it is easier to chase after #1. Most days we try to get out of the house for some activity (running errands, YMCA, walk, zoo, aquarium, butterfly garden) in the morning and are back to have lunch. I usually need to get out of the house just to keep myself happy and to run energy out of the toddler. He sleeps as he needs along the way, we haven't really bothered to figure out a schedule for him yet. I know with my first we eventually got into a 3 nap routine, but I have no idea when that started.

I get both boys and myself fed and then it's time for #1's single nap of the day. I usually aim for the elusive double nap at some point so I can get a few things done. He's up and down throughout the day, mainly I try to keep his tummy full and he decides when he wants to sleep.

Up until now, we've been on the go a lot because we had our house on the market and shopping for a new house. She's now 7 weeks old and I feel like I'm just now getting to enjoy some time w/ her that doesn't involve rushing to get out of the house or putting her down in the swing so I can clean.

Our days are mainly spent by me wearing or holding her due to her reflux, and knowing my time to go back to work is coming quickly... oh, and we're going to be living at my in-laws for a month until we can get into our new house, so that's going to take away any "alone" time I have with her :-(

Yup, you're basically describing my days!! Things have been a little different the past 3 weeks because my parents have been visiting from Canada so I've had a bit more flexibility to go out with the extra hands...but when I'm on my own that's basically it. I try to get out at least once a day to see friends, grocery shop, walk to the park, or something like that. The early childhood nurse that runs my mothers group said that babies are really scent driven, so if they smell the same things/people all day, they can get extra fussy, which is why i make a point of getting outside or into the car at least once every day. Even if it messes with his sleep, I feel like its worth it to get some distraction into both our days. I get serious cabin fever if I'm home alone all day with him.

I'm excited for him to get into a bit of nap routine so its easier to plan outings, but for now I'm feeding on demand and letting him sleep when he seems tired, which is never really more than 1/1.5 hrs of awake time.

March 2014 mamas - I hope everyone is doing well! I was curious, especially if you're staying at home all day with your LO's, what are your days like?

LO is 8 weeks and our days still mostly revolve around feeding and trying to get some good naps in. We go for walks a couple times a day (when the weather lets us) and also when LO is in a good enough mood to get out the door. Activity time usually consists of time on the Activity Mat, listening/singing to music, introducing new simple toys which he doesn't really care too much about yet and just talking with him.

We've had some seriously fussy days, some well-balanced days and some peaceful days where he sleeps a ton. Basically just when we think we have a good schedule/flow going, something changes but we're going with the flow.
