I have 2 relatives who are retired SW employees, so for me I know they're good.</p> <p>My least favorite is probably Delta. We had to use them when my husband got out of the military and I felt like they could have done more for us -- we were told we'd get free bags checked on the plane and when we got to the airport we had to pay out of pocket. But that's about the only reason. I think every airline could do a little something more for the military, especially when you're coming back from deployment or dealing with a big move/PCS.</p> <p>Edited to add: I think I was on American Airlines when we got stuck on the tarmac for over an hour (not 100% it was AA, but pretty sure), and they told everyone to stay seated with seat belts on. Well, I'm notorious for having to pee frequently. I was about to burst and decided to go to the restroom as fast as possible. I got scolded by one of the flight attendants and felt really embarrassed. I'm terrible with conflict and just said "Sorry" but really there was no excuse! Especially since I have had a history of UTIs and had 1 kidney infection at one point -- I was told by docs to never hold my urine, as it was bad for your bladder/kidneys or whatnot. Can you imagine if there was someone with a really serious bladder/kidney issue, and an attendant scolded them?! Anyways, just my rant about how terrible some attendants can be these days. Absolute best service, hands down, and a brilliant airplane with every possible convenience provided - even for those of us in cattle class. Runners up are Thai Airways, Virgin, and British Airways.</p> <p>Hate nearly all of the US airlines, although Southwest is pretty decent. Qantas is hit or miss, and Asiana was surprisingly ordinary when I flew with them.
