-Blanched asparagus wrapped with proscuitto and a small jar of Dijon to dip.
-Cold Greek salad made of chopped peppers, cherry tomatoes, olives, feta, chickpeas, and cukes tossed in a red wine vinaigrette with pita breads or lettuce cups (butter lettuce or big leaves of green or red lettuce work great for this). Add cubed chicken if you like or add some short pasta if you want it as a pasta salad.
-Handrolled sushi. Just take sushi nori, cut into quarters, and take a Tupperware of sushi rice tossed with a little rice vinegar and sugar, and another tupperware with thinly sliced peppers, cucumbers, pickled radish, avocado, imitation crab or slivers of ham or even hot dogs. If you're lazy, just get a bunch of veggies from the salad bar at the supermarket. Smoked salmon would be good too! Once you're at the picnic, assemble! Bring a few packets of soy sauce.
- I really love crisp romaine salads with slivers of Parrano cheese, apples, walnuts, and croutons in a mustardy vinaigrette. Just bring the lettuce in a big tupperware and add everything else once you get there and shake it up. Its fantastic with cold roast chicken.

-Grilled or roasted asparagus (grilled is better) wrapped in prosciutto and drizzled with balsamic.
-Blue cheese stuffed figs

We find ourselves on picnics at least once a weekend, since it's tough to keep a toddler seated at a restaurant, for long. Some of the stuff we like to pack:

Ingredients for open faced sandwiches
Bagels with spread, smoked salmon, red onion, and micro greens (LO and I don't care for capers)
Chopped celery salad with green onions, golden raisins, sunflower seeds and miso dressing
Cold soba noodle salad
Sliced veggies and hummus (I saw beet hummus at TJ's last week, and plan to pick some up)

I'm going to be taking some food to a winery this weekend and need some new ideas. Also spring is here and we have a concert series in town that I pack a picnic dinner for. And we also take easy portable food on the boat. What are your favorite foods to make to take on the go? Bonus points for gluten free.

I usually bring/make the same few things and would love some new ideas...
Cheese, crackers, meat
Caprese salad
Bbqed and chilled sasuage cut up with mustard.
Smoked onion dip
Antipasti salad: chopped cheese, salami, artichoke hearts, olives etc dressed with olive oil.
