I pack breakfast and lunch, usually breakfast is an egg bake (just eggs, veggies, cheese baked in the oven) or granola/fruit/yogurt and then lunch is leftovers or a sandwich. I also do a tray of sliced veggies to munch on, it's my midmorning snack and I so miss it when I don't have it. I prefer hot lunches, so I keep cans of soup in my office.

I cook on Sunday for the week, my fridge on cook day looks insane with all the portioned containers.

@regberadaisy: I always tell myself I'll bring leftovers, but I need to put them in a smaller container, and I lack that follow through in the mornings! I like the idea of using extra rotisserie chicken.

@ninja: 90% of the time it's leftovers! Or we would grab 2 Rotisserie chicken for dinner and a big box of salad mix from BJ. Chicken salads are our standby when there is no leftovers.

One of my resolutions for the new year is to bring my lunch to work to save money and potentially eat healthier. But...I have a hard time thinking of what to bring!

What are your staples for a packed lunch for you? (We do have microwaves, so that helps!)
