I read an article once that said it can kill off cold/flu viruses, but isn't as effective with food borne bacteria. They pick up and hold onto dust like nothing else. I don't bother with the swiffer duster that has a wand, just stick to the flat sheets and you can pick up so much crud!<br /> I also LOVE Mr. Clean magic erasers. They clean porceline and finely textured surfaces (like the fridge/fridge handle) really well.
