I fake cry too. I give him a look like "Seriously" when he launches into a tantrum. I do a lot of bait and switching with toys he shouldn't have at the time or before bed. Last night, he was playing with a toy beaver before bed. After reading to him, I grabbed his blue bunny lovey and switched them out.

I also fake cry back at her when I know it's not real, I pretend to drink her bottle/sippy if I know she needs to drink it, squirmy baby during diapers we play "momma's going to get you" and tickler her under the chin...but I tease her and dont' do it right away so she's waiting for me to do it (if that makes any sense) and it distracts her long enough to get the diaper switched out before flipping over and trying to crawl away.

I just ordered from a drive thru and ate in the car so I wouldn't have to deal with LO seeing my food and wanting to eat it!

I hand him a mum mum while we are eating so he doesn't get all into our food.

If I want him to sleep, I lie next to him and close my eyes. When he's sure I'm not going to open them, he closes his eyes too.

I mock him when he's fake crying......I know that sounds mean, but it quickly turns his fake cry into a laugh.

Do you have tricks for squirmy diaper changes? A LO that wants to eat your food?

What are your mommy tricks?
