Until about a year or so ago I didn't realize this even was a "thing." When lo was littler the spit up didn't really bother me, but as she gets older I get more anxious when she gets sick or gaggy. She's only thrown up a couple times and only one was bad. But I felt so bad for her my anxiety over her sitting in her puke and crying overrode my anxiety about puke. I know there will probably be times in the future I have to turn to dh to deal with some of it. Thank goodness he doesn't throw up often (so far.) I would say public speaking is my biggest fear, followed by making certain phone calls.</p> <p>When I studied abroad during college, I signed up for an iternship for credit. I was assigned to host a 1-hr radio talk show (in Spanish!!!)... OMG - worst placement ever! I was terrified of the whole thing! BUT, I survived and I will say, it totally got me over my fear of pretty much anything and everything for the next few years. Nothing was scary after that! Even public speaking was ok for awhile since it at least was in English! This morning I was unloading the dishwasher and there was a piece of food still stuck to the colander. I literally gagged and I thought I was going to puke. The SSRI has tones the fear down to a manageable level.
