Also Elisha Cooper books (Train, Building, Beach, there are others) are great - the illustrations are Gorgeous. We got it as a read aloud with a CD and he will actually sit and listen to the entire book. </p> <p>He also really likes the National Geographic Little Kids "My First Big Book of Animals," there are several in the series.
