I read the "Little House on the Prairie" series over and over as a little kid, now I rarely re-read books. There are too many new ones I want to get to!

@mrbee: I read Red Fern every year with my students. It gets better every time I read it. There's a strong theme of faith that runs through it, but subtle enough for public school. So we get some interesting student discussions going.

I listen to audiobooks while I drive, since I have a 1 hour commute to work each way every day. I usually get them from the library and rip them to mp3 to put on my ipod or phone. I love series books, and after listening to a few new books, I usually search my library and re-read (or listen to) the following:
Harry Potter Series
Twilight Series
Hunger Games Trilogy
Jodi Picoult
The Stephanie Plumb series by Janet Evanovich (there are 18 in the series so far)
Emily Giffin's books
Nicholas Sparks's books

When I was younger, I constantly re-read books. So a ton of Anne of Green Gables, Little House on the Prairie, Island of the Blue Dolphins, and I read the entire Hobbit series every summer until high school.

As an adult, though, there are few things I like to re-read, since there is only so much time and so many books. I've read the Harry Potters series multiple times, and can also add Pride and Prejudice on the list. But every time I get on the kick to re-read P&P, I try and read an Austen book I haven't yet, so that I get to them all.

Books I cannot live without: Harry Potter series, all Austen (especially P&P and Persuasion) and Tolkien books.
Books that are eager to join that list: Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, Hunger Games series.

@Mrs. Pink: That's my favourite too! I actually read Gone With the Wind for the first time when I was 12 and have read it AT LEAST once per year since then. I just started reading it again a few days ago and have been spending some time every day reading it aloud to my belly - but I also read it during the day/evening so the baby's getting an abridged version!

Other books I read over and over are the Harry Potter series and pretty much anything by Jane Austen, particularly Pride and Prejudice!
