We bought it two years ago and in the first year needed service on 8 different occasions. It was under warranty, but every time we lost our groceries and had to wait a week or two for service. I don't know what I'd have done without an older extra fridge in the garage. Eventually they replaced it, and we haven't had any issues since. But it's SO LOUD that I can hear it whirring from the second floor. Double doors and freezer on bottom. I don't like it. At our old house we purchased a kitchen aid stainless steel with one door and it was okay. We got a pretty good deal from Home Depot for President's Day. We replaced a falling apart french door fridge that we hated. I know they're really popular now, but we couldn't stand the freezer on the bottom. I've had a similar GE in the past and was really happy with it. It was there when we bought our house. We just had to replace and went with an LG again. It was the best option at the best price as we were limited by height. </p> <p>FWIW, I personally don't think that appliances need to brand match. Agree with getting the warranty! We bought it about 9 months ago and have no complaints. Our dishwasher is Bosch and stove Samsung - all purchased the same time. My selection was slim because I needed a 33'' max width fridge. I also wanted water/ice dispenser in the door. Because of Samsung weird ice maker (It takes up a big corner inside the fridge), I eliminated Samsung right away. So it really depends on what you need/want. The home already comes with GE dishwasher, microwave and stove in stainless. So I am considering getting a GE fridge so that it all matches. However I also like Samsung, Frigidaire and Whirlpool. Just wondering what fridge you have and are you happy with it? </p>
