Pampers Easy ups are softer, but also thicker and feel much more like a diaper than training pants. I figured having something that still felt like a diaper would be confusing. Huggies have been on sale at Target plus gift card for buying 2 packs so that's why we got them vs other brand of overnights. Also DS is tiny, not even 23 lbs and the 2t/3t fit fine.
