Happiest baby on the block worked. 3 months is about when a growth spurt and some teeth movement (even if it isn't full on teething) seemed to start for us. We found just new scenery helped - going outside, watching TV (I know terrible mommy), car ride, dancing to loud music, etc.

Happiest baby 5s worked for us. Liv had colic, and this was the ONLY thing that worked. And yes, she can be teething this early. Liv started at 3 months. Hylands teething tablets work wonders.

Nothing is ever consistent with my lo. Also the fresh air, stroller rides, sitting in the stroller and looking at the blinds. In the bath singing. But only in the bath.

Going outside worked for us, too! Or soft music (either me singing or on the iPod). It sounds like a growth spurt to me if she's suddenly eating more, though it's never too early to start teething, unfortunately.

I agree with Pelikila, though. Shushing is still magic for us, even at 20 months old.

Going outside or standing in front of a pedestal fan blowing on high seem to snap my son out of complete meltdowns fairly well. Those and the 5-S technique from Happiest Baby on the Block.

I'm sorry your daughter was having such a hard time. Maybe growing pains?

I'm just curious what methods you use to make your baby recover from a meltdown. It seems my lil 3 month old is becoming immune to the tried and true methods we've been using.

I'm feeling pretty guilty today actually. I had the morning off from work so I was with the baby. She had a meltdown and could not be soothed. She wouldn't even nurse. This is a rarety and it breaks my heart to know that she's so upset and I can't fix it. But I was getting sooooo frustrated, I wanted to scream too! I felt so bad because I know she wasn't trying to be difficult. And then I felt even worse when I considered that me being frustrated might be something she could pick up on which wouldn't help her relax. Ugh :( In the end she finally fell asleep, my poor lovey.

I am still wondering what made her so upset. Could it be possible that at exactly 3 months she might be teething? It's early yet but not unheard of, right? I checked her temperature, she was fine. She'd eaten not long before that, she had plenty of sleep though she woke up in the middle of the night and needed to be nursed, which doesn't really happen anymore. What could it be?
