I think one of the hardest things about moving to a totally new place is not knowing where anything is located. I would look up some restaurants or a grocery store and get GCs for those, or maybe a have a nice food basket sent.

I think it would be tricky to pick caregivers for other people's children (I have different preferences than my BFF when it comes to childcare, for example), so how about other things to help make the transition easier?

Finding a local restaurant on Yelp with great reviews and paying for delivery, paying for movers to unpack their stuff (they just put it into the correct rooms, so your friends will still need to fully unpack), maybe a Groupon for cleaning services, or a good bottle of wine and some chocolate for them to enjoy while they unpack? Or a basket of goodies from their old hometown and print outs of menus from new local eateries (research on Yelp, etc.) with a Visa gift card?

Some of my good friends are moving far away soon. The move wasn't in their life plan and they won't know anyone there so they are understandably anxious. They have two LOs.

Any idea what I can send them?

I'd really like to hire someone to watch the kids for a few hours to help them unpack when their POD arrives. That's crazy though, right? I don't even know if I could find a place that lets you pay online. Care.com?
