Since then I bought a house and opened anfew CCs, so my credit doesn't appear to have been effected. I didn't have to pay for a new registration at the DMV because I had the police report. I left my car unlocked in the driveway. The next day the only visible damage was someone rummage through my glove box and took my registration. I reported the break in to the police and they told me there was a string of these break in for registrations. My glove compartment and center console were open and a pair of my gloves were pulled out but they didn't touch a $10 bill or my Zune. I had a new box of diapers, a stroller, and a designer laptop bag in the car as well. None of that was touched.</p> <p>However, my registration isn't in there. My husband can't remember if he put it back in after he ordered our license plates, but I can't imagine him forgetting. If it was in there, why would someone steal it? What can they do with my registration?</p> <p>Why would someone break into a car and not take ANYTHING? </p>
