We played a lot of card games too. However, I remember playing Rummy and Kings in the Corner with my grandmother the best.

So, so many. I can't even remember them all because it's been so long.

My current faves are: Hearts, Bridge, Pitch, Gin Rummy, Rummy, Spades, Cribbage

Sillier games: BS, Spoons, War, Slapjack, (I was about to list another 10 or so but they're really just mostly drinking games :wink: )

DH just learned a new one that he's going to teach me: Euchre

Someone mentioned family card games in another thread, and it got me thinking about the good ol' days of playing cards. We started off playing Go Fish, War and other kid classics when I was really young, but that stopped as I got a bit older. That's when I started playing Hearts and Tunk - those games will always be nostalgic for me!

* http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hearts
* http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tunk

I also played Bridge, but I was never that good at remembering what cards everyone has. My memory has been made into Swiss cheese by parenthood, so I'm sure I'd be even worse at it now!

I'd love to start playing cards with the kids when they get a bit older... what card games did you play growing up?
