We sized up if needed. At 19 months it's not so much of a problem anymore. I really like two-piece outfits for cloth diapers when they are tiny.

We just size up, but we often skip clothes at home with cloth-or do stretchy stuff like leggings. Lots of dresses with bloomers for E.

We never had a problem, and my son was 98% for height and 95% for weight his whole life.

We did use onesies with "babylegs" a lot when it was a little warmer out. Those fluff butts are so cute!

Ditto What everyone else has said. I do occasionally use a onesie with baby legs though, especially around the house. I was shocked to find I actually really like the quality of the "free" baby leggings so they might be a good option for you if you're interested. I probably have a coupon for them if you need it, but googling for it will probably turn up a code too.

I also had similar percentiles...I avoided onesies and denim/jeans, and we are usually in a size up independent of the diaper due to height.

Two piece outfits are my favorite for during the day (for my boy in the summer it was mostly just a t-shirt, sometimes a romper. For my girl I am loving rompers the best, but also have some tunic shirts that she can wear with or without pants. This way I can size up bottoms sooner, and rompers have plenty of room. Overnight we use long sleeved onesies and a swaddle or sleep sack, and I like to buy Carters brand because they are longer than other brands and fit the best with the extra bulk. :)

I wrote this post when my little guy was smaller, if you're interested! http://www.hellobee.com/2013/10/22/dressing-a-cloth-diapered-boy/

See, we never had any issues with needing to size up, except for maybe shorts in the summer. DS was pretty much right on point for each size.

Two piece outfits (shirt, pant/shorts) or dresses. No onesies! Some sleepers work depending on brand/up sizing. We also got a lot of use of out of a shirt and A&A sleep sacs, especially in the summer or two piece PJ sets. I loathe onesies anyway, but even more so with cloth.

Now that it's warm we mostly just do diaper only, or diaper plus shirt and/or dress. We do have leggings (on sale from babylegs) but right now her little legs have gotten too chunky for them! Otherwise we usually sized up earlier.

LO is 5 1/2 weeks old and I'm ready to transition him to cloth diapers. We've been using disposables up until now. I have 7-8 different brands/types, although they are all mostly pocket diapers, with the exception of a BG Freetime. I've tried a couple so far, and am still trying to decide which I like best, so I can buy the remainder of what we need in that brand and style.

However, going from disposable to cloth makes a big difference in how well his clothes fit. Normally, it's a snap button one-piece pjs at night, and onesie and pants during the day. For those that cloth diaper already, do you find yourself sizing up for clothes? 0-3 months are almost too short with CD, as he's 75% for length and 50% for weight. Or do you just have your LO wear the diaper with a t-shirt? If I go that route, should I buy leggings to keep his legs warm, and where can I find them?
