@Protectlove: baby is not here yet. All I can say is I drive a 2007 ford fusion and the seat will stay in that car. I've seen both in person. I think I'm leaning towards the Evenflo. The sales rep highly recommended it at BRU.

We have the Diono Radian RXT because I wanted to rear-face longer and liked that it's the last car seat DD will need. We will likely get another one when we have a second child since they have a narrow profile. I also feel that even with the narrow profile, it has a much roomier seat area that Britax Marathons.

@ladybee: Those are both great seats with high harness weights. Tell me a little bit about your specific details- childs age, height, weight, will the seat be stationary to one car or multiple, car older than 2000 or newer?

But honestly, even with a recommendation you would be best going down to your local retailer and trying them on for feel. All sorts of factors come into play and preference for certain things make a big difference to the user.

We just installed the Chicco Nextfit. I love it! I loved our Chicco Keyfit so it was a no brainer for me to go with it. It was an easy install, which is important for me and our tiny backseat. Only downside is that the sides are high so it'll be hard for her to climb in and out by herself. But, I think that's so far down the road that I'm not worrying about it right now.

We have Diono Radian 120s. Got them for 200 each. I liked the ability to RF longer, and hopefully not have to buy more seats down the road. We have an odyssey and an explorer and got an easy, tight install with two seats in each.

I am a car seat technician and you have narrowed your choices down to a good selection. Check out NHTSA's ease of use ratings
http://www.nhtsa.gov/Safety/Ease-of-Use
this may help you narrow your selection down a little further. Some Evenflo seats I have worked with are not so user friendly and no matter how high a seat rates on safety, if you can't install it correctly and easily, it doesn't matter. Also, most stores will let you take the display model out to your car to install it- this is SUPER helpful in checking compatibility with your vehicle. Best of luck!

Cheers!

Britax Marathon is a great seat as long as your LO isn't tall! I only say that because the shell is pretty short and we would have had to turn LO forward facing well before 2 of we'd stuck with it. We got a Diono Radian to keep him rear facing longer. Also a great seat, but big for cars that don't have a lot of legroom.

I registered for the Maxi Cosi Pria 70. It got really good reviews and I like the neoprene-like fabric better than the velour fabric of the Britax I was originally thinking. It's about $250 and you can always use a 20% off coupon at BRU or BBB.
