I can't even sleep at night without a fan or two on! When it is a really nice day I turn the AC off and open the windows and doors though. We are looking for a ductless system as well. We were most interested in geothermal, but with the cost to instal ductwork, it was just too much $$$$. Our house is older (built in 30's) so having a ductless system was a big bonus. Like you said, they're also "green," use less energy and also lowered our electricity bill. It's also great since we can choose not to heat/cool rooms we aren't really using and have one room cooler/warmer than others depending on our preference. When its 120 out and you're adding water into the mix it just makes it humid and miserable! But, during the "too hot to do nothing, but not hot enough to want to pay a fortune to turn on the a/c" months, like right now, its so nice. Our house got down to 62 last night while we were sleeping!
