Another vote for Baby Mod Olivia! I was so surprised to find a crib I liked at Walmart. And you can't beat the free site-to-store shipping.

We have the Baby Mod Olivia crib from Walmart, which is part of the Million Dollar Baby brand. The crib is almost identical the the Babyletto cribs (also same MDB brand) but a hundred dollars less. It is made of solid pinewood with a non-toxic stain, which was very important in our search. We did not want MDF.

we have the munire urban in white. it's nice and sturdy and gets the job done. i love the look of the modern ones but they don't fit with the style of our place.

@Mrs. Bee: The Oeuf Sparrow was my first choice! I kept Googling "oeuf sparrow knock-offs" to see if anything else would compare because the price was out of our set budget for a crib. It's a beautiful crib.

we have the oeuf sparrow for charlie and a davinci jenny lind crib for olive. both are fine though charlie's was 5x the cost. i don't think a nice crib really matters.

@mrsjazz: ooh, so glad someone else is looking at that too hehe. the white is so pretty, but i just tend to like dark furniture.

@Mrsbells: supposedly, it locks. i think wheels would be good for a bassinet if we want to roll it. plus, they used to have legs for the crib/toddler bed and supposedly, it was a flawed design so they switched to wheels. we can take the wheels off (which i also like)... just probably need a rug underneath if you don't have carpets. also, if you think about it, some beds are on stands with wheels too.

@Mrsbells: They also have a version of this crib where only the bassinet has wheels and the crib has legs...but it's almost $100 more.

I never thought about getting a crib with wheels before this one. It does have lockable casters and I guess the wheels make it easier if we want to move things around a bit in the baby's room. But I'd be getting the version with the legs if it wasn't for the price difference.

Ours is by Nursery 101, its stylish and it was on sale we paid only $199 for a 3 piece set of crib, dresser and changing table.
This is my first time seeing the argington, its great that it comes with abassinet but I'm a little wary of cribs on wheels.

@tequiero21: This is the crib we are getting, too! We are getting it in white. I haven't seen it in person either, but I love it for all the same reasons you do. We were originally going to buy a co-sleeper and a crib and the Argington Bam Bam works out to being slightly cheaper.

i'm looking at the argington: http://www.amazon.com/Argington-Organic-Crib-Complete-Ebony/dp/B004M18M2G/ref=br_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I3FMI7J9BY05AG&colid=2YITVEI3A003I.

1. what crib did you go with? and are you happy with it?
2. anyone have the argington? if so, what are your thoughts? i love that it's a convertible and has a bassinet - so we don't have to purchase a separate one. i love that it's organic. but i haven't actually seen it in person.
