I would not even offer to visit anyone else unless I was explicitly invited.</p> <p>I did not want any visitors when I was in the hospital. My parents came, which was fine and expected. My sister would have been welcome, but she was cat sitting for us. My MIL was traveling but otherwise would have been welcome to meet the baby.</p> <p>Everyone was told in advance that I was going to deliver the baby, meet/breastfeed the baby, and then I reserved the right to take a nap before greeting any visitors. As it turns out, my son was born at 1am and visiting hours started at 9am. I actually don't remember some people being there even though I have pictures of them being there. I had a rough delivery that ended with being given all the medication available to me since my epidural had failed and I was having an emergency c-section. So I was really foggy.
